A couple days ago marked one year since my first crafty blog post ever. I missed celebrating with all of you on the actual day for several reasons. The main reasons are that I finished 2 summer school classes the day before, then reported to jury duty and was trying to figure out what to do for Mr. Crafty's birthday {which was yesterday}. I am happy to report that in the past week, I have read TWO non-school books. But not much crafty to report. Oh, I did make these delicious snickerdoodle cupcakes for Mr. Crafty...
By the end of this month I hope to have a pattern/tutorial for this quilt... saying it out loud will make me do it, right?

My favorite part of summer is my garden. Soothes my soul to be digging in the dirt & pulling those weeds. Of course the sun has to be out. Hot, hot, hot!

My favorite part about summer is the shade. After living in SC and FL for several years, I hate being in the sun. Weird, I know. Give me a hammock, shade, a breeze, and needle and thread, or a good book, and I'm good to go :)

My favorite part about summer is the garden. Most of my sewing takes place in the wintertime, but during the summer I LOVE to be out in the garden and my favorite nights are those when everything on my supper table is something I grew with my own two hands.

My favorite part of summer is strawberries in the garden, sunflowers growing near the fence, ice cream and my children running in the grass without their shoes on.

Favourite part of summer? All the fresh veggies and fruit, locally grown. Mmmmm....
My favorite part of summer is when my kids go back to school! LOL! No, not really.... I love sitting on the back porch around the fire pit in Uggs and a hoodie roasting marshmellows, hangin'out with hubby, enjoying my kids and petting the dogs. A very relaxing way to end the day. I love it!!
Not a huge fan of summer, don't like the humidity, but love the fact that there is no snow!

The only thing I like about the summer is that I don't have to get up at 5 in the morning to get ready for school. Other than that, it's way toooo hot (102 today and going on three weeks of over 100 degree weather!!)
